Liquid Coatings

One Coat Systems
One coat liquid spray systems are mostly acrylic based coatings, designed mainly for interior architectural applications. They provide good film integrity, colour control, and mar resistance. They are available in solid and metallic colours. One coat systems meet AAMA 2603 specifications. There are some one coat liquid spray systems available that contain 10% Kynar 500® PVDF (solid colours) or up to 30% Kynar 500® PVDF (metallic colours). These coatings meet AAMA 2603 specifications and are designed to perform better than acrylic based paints.

Two Coat Systems
Two coat liquid spray systems are fluoropolymer based coatings applied with a primer and colour coat, designed for exterior architectural applications. They are available in solid and pearlescent colours. These coatings provide outstanding durability and performance, as well as high resistance to chalking, chipping, fading, and peeling. Two coat systems can meet either AAMA 2604 or 2605 specifications, as there are paints available that are 50% Kynar 500® PVDF resin based & 70% Kynar 500® PVDF resin based.

Three Coat Systems
Three coat liquid spray systems are fluoropolymer based coatings with the same characteristics as the two coat systems, with the added benefit of a protective clear top coat. These coatings are designed for exterior architectural applications, specifically seaside and corrosive environments. The clear top coat is required for certain bright pigments as well as metallic flake colours, and is suitable for use over any two coat system to increase coating performance. There are also mica flake clear coats available. Three coat systems meet AAMA 2605 specifications and are 70% Kynar 500® PVDF resin based.

Four Coat Systems
Four coat liquid spray systems are fluoropolymer based coatings with the same characteristics as the three coat systems, with the addition of a barrier coat between the primer and colour coat. These coatings are designed for exterior architectural applications, and offer superior durability and performance. Barrier coats are required for only a few select colours, but can be used with three coat systems to enhance coating performance. Four coat systems are the most robust available and meet AAMA 2605 specifications and are 70% Kynar 500® PVDF resin based.

Powder Coatings

Polyester Based
Polyester based powder coat systems are available in a variety of qualities much like liquid coatings. Durable powder coatings are designed for interior applications and super durable powder coatings are suitable for some exterior applications. Polyester based powder coatings can be made to meet AAMA 2603 or 2604 specifications.

Fluoropolymer Based
Fluoropolymer based powder coat systems are the most robust available. Some are applied as a two coat with a primer. These ultra durable coatings are designed for exterior architectural applications, Fluoropolymer based powder coatings meet AAMA 2605 specifications and some are 70% Kynar 500® PVDF resin based.

Chrome Conversion

Our chrome conversion applies a chrome-phosphate treatment coating to properly washed and prepared mill finish aluminum, greatly increasing the corrosion resistance of the substrate. Suitable for unexposed surfaces requiring minimum protection from the elements and also a requirement before applying any paint finish, liquid or powder. Our state of the art, five stage chrome conversion process allows us to extend up to 20 year warranties on select finishes from major suppliers such as Akzo Nobel, PPG & Valspar.

We can supply aluminum sheet in any standard size or thickness to go with your painting requirements.

Paint Matching & Samples

Sample Matching
Are you looking to get a previously painted sample colour matched? We can arrange to have your sample colour matched for any performance specification you have in mind. Just drop off the sample or courier it to us, along with a note indicating what type of finish and performance you are looking for.

Colour Chips
Do you need colour samples from AkzoNobel, PPG or Valspar for your project with us? We will also ship you colour samples by request.
